This is the second of a four-part seminar series co-hosted by SHAAP and IAS (Institute of Alcohol Studies) to discuss issues relating to men and alcohol. At this session, three invited experts will discuss the following questions:
How does alcohol marketing influence men’s behaviour?
How does alcohol marketing influence attitudes towards men?
How does alcohol marketing affect men in different social and cultural contexts?
These events will provide an opportunity for policy makers, academics, activists, and media representatives to discuss critically topics related to men and alcohol use. The intention is to stimulate thinking, challenge some attitudes and perceptions, and to think about future research and policy priorities. A summary of the discussions from the seminars will be collated into a report, which will be disseminated after the events. This series follows the women and alcohol seminar series held in 2017, the report for which can be found here.
