Alcohol and the Developing Adolescent Brain: Evidence Review

This report is drawn from the research of key researchers and clinicians, based on presentations and discussion at SHAAP's seminar held on 27 September 2013. The review examines how the brain develops during adolescence, the effects of alcohol on the developing adolescent brain, the role of genetics in alcohol consumption, the clinical implications of alcohol’s effects on the brain and the effects of alcohol on psychological and cognitive function.
