It's often said that Scotland's high rates of alcohol-related harm are due to the country's deeply ingrained hard drinking culture. However, the reality is that there is nothing fixed about Scotland's drinking culture. The way in which we buy and consume alcohol today is very different from what it was fifty years ago.
